How to Become a Member

To become a member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Dental Association (NLDA), you must first obtain a dental licence through the Newfoundland and Labrador Dental Board (NLDB).

If you have questions about the licensing process, please contact the NLDB directly:

  • Email: admin@nldb.ca
  • Phone: (709) 579-2391

As the provincial dental association, the NLDA welcomes all dentists who are licensed to practise in Newfoundland and Labrador.

What Happens After You’re Licensed?

Once your licensing process has been finalized with the NLDB, they will notify us. We will then begin the process of welcoming you as an NLDA member and send you a welcome package containing all the essential documents and instructions to guide you through the membership application process.

Please note: We cannot begin the membership process until your dental licence has been fully finalized with the NLDB. You have one month from the date of your licensure to complete your NLDA membership registration.

Once you complete your registration with the NLDA, you will receive instructions from the Canadian Dental Association (CDA) on how to create your CDAnet account.

If you have any questions about NLDA membership, please don’t hesitate to contact us:

  • Email: info@nlda.net
  • Phone: (709) 579-2362
